We are living in the Anthropocene and the accumulated impacts of humans on the environment has translated into climate change, the progressive loss of wildlife habitats, reduction in biodiversity and the degradation of natural ecosystems. The Re-Betchworth Climate, Environment and Ecology group of volunteers has formed around these concerns in order to work with our community to help nurture and regenerate the flora and fauna of Betchworth and help mitigate the effects of climate change through the collective daily choices and actions we make.
Our magazine is published quarterly and it aims to provide information about our local environment and opportunities for working as a community to protect and improve it, and to raise awareness of how we might live our lives in ways that secure a more sustainable future.
